What makes us different?

After just 5 years, we are already among the top 2% of UK charities by donation. And we aim to do things differently, thinking and acting like a truly commercial business.

Most of our donations come from the products and services sold by Global Ethics under the One brand name. More importantly, we will never:

  • Rattle tins or hire street collectors
  • Ask for direct debit contributions
  • Run big public-facing fundraising

And we run a very efficient operation

  • Low admin fees
  • Every penny of our donations traceable to the specific project it is funding
  • Sale to site timeframe down to c.16 weeks – we don’t hold donations for years before they change lives

We offer a hand up, not a hand out. And we remove barriers to progress, eg. bringing water to schools so children can get the education they deserve.

Our ambition is to become a leading edge charity that thinks and acts like a business. Our business is special because its customers are “life changers” – they buy One products to positively change the lives of people less fortunate than themselves.
