It’s hard to believe that in the early decades of the 21st century people are still dying for want of clean water.

Almost one billion people are without access to safe water supplies and everyday millions walk miles just for something to drink.

In developing countries, people can spend five hours a day on average walking to collect clean water, leaving them little time to do much else. You can imagine the impact this has on families: Children are unable to go to school and adults can't look after their crops or families.
