Kagona Farming Village
One of the local farmers in Simlemba (Malawi) is pictured here holding a sweet potato from her first crop. Most farmers are dependant on maize and programmes funded by One Vitamin Enhanced Water, teach the importance of improving food security through increased crop diversity rather than relying on a single nutritional staple.
That’s why a number of crops are now being grown, including beans, sweet potato, cabbage and other winter vegetables. All enabling the community to have a sustainable food supply.
