Our TrusteesOur Trustees

We have a fantastic board of trustees, who determine how and where the funds that come into The One Foundation are spent. The trustees come from a range of backgrounds, bringing an enviable array of experience from the corporate and NGO world, Cadbury’s, O2 and Millennium Promise.

He spent the last 8 years in the private sector working for Cadbury and the Carbon Trust in various areas of ethical globalisation including climate change mitigation, business and development, human rights and ethical supply chain. He led the set up of the £45 million Cadbury Cocoa Partnership which earned Cadbury the Fair Trade certification.

Paul Robinson    Paul Robinson

Paul is a serial entrepreneur having spent the last 20 years building businesses and founding the successful Hong Kong based investment management firm, SGIM. He has always stressed the importance of giving back. After 12 years in Hong Kong, he returned to the UK in 2006 to concentrate on constructing a new type of business with the focus on ‘profit for purpose’. He has helped build The One Foundation and its trading arm Global Ethics into the ethical goods businesses they are today.

He is a Trustee of The One Foundation, a director of Global Ethics, and founder and Chairman of Alquity investment management group. Alquity runs investment funds which give investors full commercial returns, but donate a substantial part of the management fee to The One Foundation. Paul is now based in London and can currently be found living on a boat in Putney.

Duncan Goose    Duncan Goose

Duncan is the founder of Global Ethics and the One brand. His vision was to create a brand, the profits from which would be used to directly fund ‘like for like’ humanitarian projects, eg. One Water funding water projects, One Condoms funding HIV projects. Duncan wants to take the brand global, and replicate it in many different sectors – including fmcg, healthcare, hygiene, finance and technology to name but a few.

He has won a number of awards for his work – everything from a Greatest Living Briton award to European Entrepreneur of the Year. He sits on a number of boards including the John Lewis Foundation and Coventry University. He lives in London with his wife, baby and dog, has a passion for cars and motorbikes and enjoys using his honorary doctorate title ‘Dr Duncan Goose’ awarded by Sunderland University, when filling in non-important forms.
