Cheese and onion flavoured termites Cheese and onion flavoured termites

Yesterday's news from Malawi

Well another 18 hour trip is behind me and we’ve just arrived in a gloriously hot Malawi.  I’m with Eddie Mullon, a Malawian who now lives in New York and runs Fashion GPS, a very successful software product for the fashion industry, unsurprisingly a very energetic and charming Chico and Robin Tucker, who is the man behind the camera.

We are just discussing Negumbi, which are an edible flying termite which Eddie assures me tastes like cheese and onion crisps.  I’m more confident of trying these than mice on a stick.

We now have a 3 hour drive to south of Lake Malawi, in preparation for our visit to see a sanitation block funded through One Toilet Tissue tomorrow.

More soon!
