1000 children set to smash the record books

On Friday 15th July, Robert Clack School in Dagenham will aim to enter the record books by being the first school in the UK to offer a 'whole-school' fitness class, where more than 1000 students will simultaneously take part in a Fitness4x4 Hour of Power workout, led by fitness 'guru' Rajko Radovic. Where most schools are struggling to encourage even moderate participation in physical education and sport, Robert Clack School, under the inspirational guidance of their recently knighted Head Teacher Paul Grant, are looking to go not one, but ten steps further!  As part of their 'Healthy Schools Initiative', they have joined forces with fitness specialist Rajko Radovic to get every pupil and staff member to jointly take part in a fitness class - no matter what age, what background or what fitness level, for  a truly universal workout!

One Water will be there, keeping the children hydrated.

Previous to this event, the largest ever Hour of Power fitness class was held at Loughborough University, where 200 students recently pumped away to raise money for charity.  Robert Clack's 1000 participant class will not only smash the record books, but will aim to inspire the nations kids to see that there is a method of fitness which is universal and that it is possible for staff and students to work together to improve the quality of their own lives - and therefore also the people's around them.

Good luck to everyone who is taking part.

About the Author

I guess I’m ‘Little Miss Everything’, if you need to know something, come to Nikki. I have a wide range of responsibilities ranging from donor communications, case studies, to supporting the marketing team on various campaigns/projects. Everyday the team have me doing weird and wonderful things.

Duncan, being an old friend, asked me to come and work for him for just one day a week, he was drowning in admin and needed saving. He’s a trickster though, because he knows that once you enter the family of One, you are hooked and one day a week soon becomes a full time living, breathing passion.

Three years on, Global Ethics isn’t just a job, it’s a way of life. From the pride you feel when you hear what you have achieved for thousands of beautiful children in Africa, to the late night emails that the team send while sitting there at 10pm working like a trojan with a glass of wine, to the belly laughs we have in the office. I’m very fortune to work with such an inspiring, passionate bunch of people, who really are my One family.
