SanitationSanitation

An estimated 2.6 billion people in the world lack access to adequate sanitation. That means that they aren't able to use hygienic toilets or wash their hands with clean water - something that we totally take for granted. As a result, the risk of waterborne disease is high, with young children being particularly susceptible. Every day 6000 children die from waterborne disease while diarrhoea alone kills one child every 20 seconds: a shocking fact that we decided to do something about. One person, one day at a time.
