Ekuphilena School had no choice but to drink contaminated water. But thanks to the PlayPump that’s a thing of the past, as Principal Masuku explains:
The source the school was getting water from wasn’t clean, especially in the summer when it’s raining most of the time and the water turns brown. But the school had no choice – we had to drink that water. And many of our learners became sick.
Now the problem is solved by the roundabout. Our learners were so excited to play on the wheel and latecomers have decreased as they want to be there early so they can play. Now they are drinking water that is clean and healthy.
